The Information Technology (IT) Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's modern workplace technology environment across all locations. This includes Microsoft 365, Azure services, endpoint management, identity and access management, networking, cloud services, collaboration platforms, and enterprise applications.

The IT Administrator provides support for cybersecurity initiatives and security best practices as part of the overall IT setting and assists with the implementation of IT infrastructure, architectural, and software-related projects.

Areas of Responsibility

- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for end-user incidents, service requests, and standard changes.
- Manage, prioritize, document, escalate, and resolve IT incidents through the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- Administer and maintain enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint management, networking, cybersecurity technologies,



and business applications.
- Monitor, manage, and respond to cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents using Microsoft Defender technologies.
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, system hardening, and disaster recovery activities.
- Manage Windows, macOS, and mobile devices using Microsoft Intune, including MDM, MAM, application deployment, compliance policies, Autopilot, and endpoint security.
- Administer identity and access management, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), privileged access reviews, and user lifecycle management.
- Support compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including MFIPPA, PHIPA, and CIS Controls.
- Perform backup verification, restoration testing, and support disaster recovery planning and processes.
- Administer enterprise SaaS applications, including licensing, provisioning, SSO integration, authentication, and lifecycle management.
- Configure, maintain, and support physical and virtual servers.
- Support enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, VPN connectivity, LAN/WAN performance, and network monitoring.
- Administer telephony and unified communications platforms, including Microsoft Teams Phone, VoIP, voicemail, and conferencing systems.
- Support physical security systems, including access control and CCTV platforms.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and Power Automate workflows to improve efficiency and automate routine tasks.
- Participate in technology projects, digital transformation initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations.
- Monitor system health, availability, performance, and capacity across infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
- Coordinate with vendors on support requests, warranty claims, software renewals, and procurement activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, architecture documentation, and disaster recovery plans.
- Deliver excellent customer service, provide end-user training, and adhere to ITIL service management best practices.
- Develop and execute quality assurance testing procedures for systems and software.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance, project deployments, and incident response activities as required.

Hours of Work:

Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Flexible working hours are required (may include evening or weekend work).

Frequent/regular travel between various office locations required.

Requirements:





- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years supporting enterprise IT environments (progressively responsible experience preferred).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience across: Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online), Microsoft Intune / endpoint and mobile device management (MDM), Windows Server and Active Directory, physical server and enterprise network switch configuration, VPN and remote access, Azure administration, PowerShell scripting, virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V), DNS/DHCP and networking fundamentals, Microsoft Defender, and backup and recovery.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy best practices, cloud and hybrid environments, and IT service management (ITIL 4).
- Advanced troubleshooting across computers, mobile devices, audio-visual (AV) systems, and enterprise applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong prioritization and attention to detail; able to work independently and as part of a team and to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with VoIP / unified communications (telephony) platforms and building security systems (e.g., access control and video surveillance) is considered an asset.

Any of the following certifications would be considered an asset:

- Microsoft: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Administrator Expert (MS-102).
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+, Cisco CCNA, or ITIL 4 Foundation.
