Full-Time Position

Commercial-NDS Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dependable Job Site Supervisor to join our team in Yellowknife. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising a team of approximately 10 employees and overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction, restoration, demolition, remediation, and emergency response projects.

We are looking for someone who can confidently lead a crew, keep projects organized and moving forward, maintain a safe work environment, and communicate effectively with management, employees, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and provide daily direction to a crew of approximately 10 employees.
- Coordinate employees, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other resources required for each project.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure employees understand the scope of work and expectations.
- Monitor employee productivity, attendance, workmanship, and overall job-site performance.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to the approved scope of work.
- Review project requirements and plan daily and weekly work activities.
- Conduct regular job-site inspections and identify deficiencies or additional work required.
- Communicate project progress, concerns, delays, staffing requirements, and material needs to management.
- Maintain accurate job-site documentation, including daily reports, employee hours, equipment usage, photographs, safety documentation, and project notes.
- Ensure employees follow Commercial-NDS policies, safe work procedures, and applicable WSCC requirements.
- Conduct and document toolbox meetings and site-specific safety meetings.




- Ensure proper PPE is being used and that job sites remain clean, organized, and safe.
- Coordinate material orders, deliveries, equipment requirements, and waste disposal.
- Work closely with the office and management team to ensure job documentation and information are submitted in a timely manner.
- Communicate professionally with property owners, clients, adjusters, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist with emergency response projects when required.
- Participate directly in site work when necessary and lead by example.
- Identify and address job-site problems before they result in significant delays or additional costs.
- Perform other supervisory and operational duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a construction, restoration, remediation, or similar supervisory role.
- Experience supervising and coordinating multiple employees and job sites.
- Strong knowledge of general construction practices and job-site operations.
- Solid leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and changing demands.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete job-site reports and maintain accurate documentation.




- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or after-hours when emergency response is required.

Experience in water damage restoration, fire and smoke restoration, asbestos abatement, mould remediation, demolition, carpentry, flooring, or insurance restoration would be considered a strong asset. Safety certifications, First Aid, WHMIS, asbestos training, restoration certifications, or other construction-related certifications would also be considered assets.

This position requires someone who is comfortable being accountable for both the crew and the job site. The successful candidate should be able to provide clear direction, hold employees accountable, communicate issues to management, and ensure work is completed properly and on schedule.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
