Shape community relationships as the Community Relations Director at Toronto Hydro, based in Toronto, ON. This hybrid position focuses on strategic stakeholder engagement and public outreach.
In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Public Affairs, leading initiatives that foster trust with residents, businesses, and community organizations. Your work will cultivate a collaborative setting, where community perspectives shape Toronto Hydro’s operations and planning. You will provide critical strategic recommendations and proactively address stakeholder concerns, ensuring effective communication and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute stakeholder engagement strategies in support of projects
• Foster relationships with elected officials and community leaders




• Facilitate public consultations and outreach events
• Advise leadership on community issues and reputational risks
• Manage community inquiries and sensitive issues
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in Communications or similar
• Ten (10) years of relevant experience
• Five (5) years in leadership roles preferred
• Background in public affairs and issues management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
