We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this entry-level role, you will be preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. Duties

- Assist in preparing detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents
- Use estimation software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to compile and review bid proposals
- Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate costs where appropriate
- Support the review of project scopes to ensure all aspects are accurately accounted for in estimates
- Participate in project management activities, including tracking bid deadlines and maintaining organized records of estimates
- Contribute to the development of bid packages by sourcing materials, labor costs, and equipment expenses




- Help identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities during the estimating process

Qualifications

- Basic understanding of construction estimating principles and terminology
- Experience with estimation tools such as HeavyBid or Bluebeam is highly desirable
- Solid negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and subcontractors
- Familiarity with project management practices within a construction setting
- Construction experience or background is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to analyze drawings, specifications, and pricing data accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in AI software for take offs
- Minimum 1-3 years experience
