About Consilion

Consilion Resources Inc. is a boutique construction consulting firm specializing in forensic scheduling, delay and claims analysis, project controls, and dispute support.

We work on complex, high-value construction and infrastructure projects across Canada and internationally, including subway and light-rail programs, bridges, highways, tunnels, pipelines, utilities, and industrial facilities.

Our assignments involve investigating why projects were delayed, assessing changes to critical and near-critical paths, quantifying schedule impacts, preparing or evaluating construction claims, creating expert reports and supporting dispute-resolution proceedings.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a analytical, and detail-oriented Junior Forensic Delay Analyst / Scheduler to join our growing team.

This is not simply a schedule-updating position. You will learn how to investigate project delays by examining contract documents, Primavera P6 schedules, progress records, correspondence, reports, change documentation, and other contemporaneous project information.

Working directly with Consilion’s Managing Director and senior consultants, you will receive hands-on exposure to forensic schedule analysis and project controls on major construction and infrastructure assignments. The position is well suited to a junior scheduler, project-controls professional, field engineer, project coordinator, or recent engineering or construction graduate interested in developing a specialized career in delay analysis and construction claims.

Key Responsibilities

Review baseline schedules, monthly updates, recovery schedules, and as-built project information.

Assist in analyzing critical and near-critical paths, schedule logic, constraints, calendars, float, progress, and changes between schedule updates.

Organize and review project records, including daily reports, progress reports, meeting minutes, RFIs, change orders, drawings, correspondence, and claims documentation.

Prepare project chronologies and delay-event registers that connect project events to their potential schedule impacts.

Assist with forensic delay analyses using recognized methodologies,

including Time Impact Analysis, windows or contemporaneous-period analysis, as-planned versus as-built analysis, and other methods identified in AACE Recommended Practice No. 29R-03 and the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol.

Support the development and evaluation of construction delay claims, extension-of-time submissions, expert reports, rebuttal analyses, and schedule narratives.

Prepare clear graphs, timelines, schedule comparisons, tables, exhibits, and presentation materials that explain complex findings.

Develop and update Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project schedules when required for project-controls, claims, or analytical assignments.

Perform schedule quality reviews and assist with tools such as Acumen Fuse, Steelray Delay Analyzer, TILOS, and schedule-risk software.

Maintain organized source references and a clear audit trail supporting analytical findings.

Participate in project meetings and communicate findings clearly to internal team members, clients, technical consultants, and other project stakeholders.

Handle confidential project and dispute information carefully and in accordance with Consilion’s document-security requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in engineering, construction management, building science, architecture, quantity surveying, project management, or a related discipline.

Approximately 1–5 years of experience in construction, engineering, scheduling, project controls, project coordination, claims, or a related field. Strong recent graduates with relevant coursework, co-op experience, or internships are encouraged to apply.

Foundational understanding of construction sequencing and Critical Path Method scheduling.

Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is strongly preferred. Candidates with strong analytical ability and a demonstrated interest in learning scheduling software will also be considered.

Strong Microsoft Excel, Word,

and PowerPoint skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the patience to review large volumes of detailed information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings clearly.

High level of accuracy, organization, professional judgment, and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while asking appropriate questions and collaborating closely with senior team members.

Authorization to work in Canada. Canadian work experience is not required, and relevant international construction experience will be considered.

Additional Assets

Experience on transit, heavy civil, tunnelling, bridge, highway, utility, pipeline, energy, or major building projects.

Field or site experience that provides an understanding of how construction work is planned and executed.

Familiarity with schedule specifications, project controls, construction contracts, change management, or claims documentation.

Experience with Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse or Risk, TILOS, Steelray Delay Analyzer, Power BI, or other project-controls software.

Progress toward an EIT, P.Eng., PMP, PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or similar professional designation.

What Consilion Offers

Meaningful involvement in major infrastructure projects and complex construction disputes.
