Junior Mechanical Designer

PMW Engineering Ltd. is a mechanical engineering firm based in Edmonton, AB, providing consulting services for building mechanical systems.

As a Junior Mechanical Designer, the following responsibilities would be expected:

· Prepare calculations to properly size mechanical systems, including heat loss, heat gain, plumbing and drainage, HVAC and gas and implement onto drawings.

· Coordinate with other project consultants for equipment selections and space requirements.

· Check layouts for conflicts against other building elements, eg. Structure.

· Communicate clearly with project manager, and outside consultants regarding project requirements, deadlines, and the like.

· Design buildings in Revit / AutoCAD

· Construction Phase work such as review of shop drawings, site visits, preparing site instructions, etc.

· Work as a team player to help out other designers to even out workload.





Qualifications Expected

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering & Drafting Technology, Building Environmental Systems Technology, Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Carrier HAP

· Experience in Revit is an asset.

· Working knowledge of Mechanical systems.

· Working knowledge of Alberta and National Building Codes and standards.

· Organized

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
