Ayr Welding Limited is hiring a Pipe Welder to join our team in Ayr, Ontario. Job Details

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 44-hour work week; occasional overtime may be required

Pay: $19.25-24.00 per hour, based on skill, training, and experience

Work Location: In person at 409 Harmony Road, Ayr, Ontario

Responsibilities

· Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment safely and efficiently.

· Prepare, lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies before welding.

· Complete welds in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

· Read and follow basic blueprints, sketches, specifications, and layout plans.

· Inspect workpieces for visible defects and report concerns to a supervisor or lead hand.

· Help identify and prevent overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of metal.

· Chip, grind, and remove excess weld, slag, spatter,



and rough spots from completed work.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

· Welding education, apprenticeship experience, or 1–2 years of welding experience preferred.

· Some pipe welding experience is considered an asset.

· Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, drawings, and layout plans.

· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn proper techniques.

· Good time management skills and a reliable work ethic.

· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and as part of a team.

· Current TSSA tickets are considered an asset.

· Positioner experience considered an asset.

Work Environment

· Work is performed primarily in a welding shop setting.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods.

· Public transit is not available to the work location; reliable transportation is required.
