Kinesiologist / Physiotherapy Assistant

Part-Time | Pelvic Physio Niagara/Fonthill Physio – Fonthill, Ontario

Pelvic Physio Niagara is growing, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Kinesiologist or Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team!

This is a part-time position to start, with the opportunity for the role to grow as our clinic and exercise-based services continue to expand.

The Role

This is a varied position combining exercise rehabilitation, group programming, community education, treatment support and reception/administrative duties. You’ll work alongside our physiotherapists while also helping create a welcoming and organized experience for our clients.

Responsibilities may include

- Guiding clients through exercise programs prescribed by our physiotherapists
- Progressing and modifying exercises within the established treatment plan
- Providing 1:1 exercise-based rehabilitation
- Assisting with orthopedic, pelvic health and post-operative rehabilitation programs
- Working with clinic treatment technologies, including High Intensity Laser Therapy and EMsella
- Assisting with the development and delivery of Pilates-based rehabilitation and group exercise programs
- Leading group exercise and fitness programming, including programs offered at alternative community locations
- Developing, organizing and delivering community workshops and educational programming
- Representing Pelvic Physio Niagara at community-based programs and events
- Providing reception coverage and supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic
- Answering and directing phone calls and responding to client inquiries
- Scheduling, rescheduling and managing client appointments




- Assisting clients with booking and other administrative needs
- Supporting the physiotherapy team with client care and clinic flow
- Maintaining treatment and exercise areas and ensuring equipment is clean and ready for client use

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate

- Is a Registered Kinesiologist, Kinesiology graduate, Physiotherapy Assistant, or has a related exercise/rehabilitation background
- Has experience working with clients and progressing therapeutic exercise programs
- Has experience with Pilates or Pilates-based exercise; additional training can be provided
- Is comfortable leading group fitness and exercise programs
- Is confident presenting and leading workshops or educational sessions
- Is comfortable working independently at alternative community locations when required
- Has strong communication, organization and customer-service skills
- Is comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments and interacting with clients
- Is confident, personable and able to motivate clients through their rehabilitation
- Enjoys working as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Has an interest in pelvic health, orthopedic rehabilitation, women's health and active rehabilitation
- Is interested in learning new technologies and treatment approaches
- Maintaining clean, organized and welcoming treatment, exercise and common areas throughout the day




- This is a dynamic role that will continue to evolve as the clinic grows, with opportunities to take on new responsibilities, programs and areas of interest.

Training & Growth We are happy to invest in the right person. Training will be provided for our clinic-specific programs, treatment technologies and rehabilitation approach.

As the role grows, there will be the opportunity to complete additional training to conduct EMSELLA consultations, with commission-based compensation associated with this aspect of the position.

There will also be opportunities to further develop your skills in Pilates, group fitness, exercise rehabilitation, community workshops and program development as these services continue to grow.
