About the role

81 Kitchen is a catering business, which means no two days look the same. We're looking for someone who can move between the kitchen, the packing table, and the delivery van without needing to be told twice. If you like variety, work clean, and take pride in food going out the door right, you'll do well here.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be cooking, cleaning, packing orders, and getting them to the customer.

What you'll be doing

Kitchen & food prep

- Prep and cook menu items following our recipes and portion sizes
- Assemble trays, wraps, platters, and hot items to order
- Follow allergy and dietary instructions on every order exactly as written — no substitutions without checking first
- Keep an eye on stock and let management know when we're running low

Packing & order assembly

- Pack orders accurately against the order sheet: right items, right counts, right labels
- Label allergy-sensitive orders clearly and keep them separated during prep and packing
- Pack hot and cold items properly so food arrives at the right temperature




- Double-check serving utensils, dips, napkins, and any extras before an order leaves

Deliveries (If you have license)

- Load and deliver catering orders
- Set up food at the customer's location where required
- Represent 81 catering professionally — on time, clean uniform, friendly with customers
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and report any issues

Cleaning & sanitation

- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and catering equipment
- Sanitize prep surfaces, equipment, and coolers throughout the shift
- Sweep, mop, and take out garbage and recycling
- Follow food safety and health unit standards at all times

What we're looking for
- Reliable and on time — catering runs on deadlines, and a late order isn't fixable
- Comfortable working quickly during busy periods without cutting corners on cleanliness
- Careful with details, especially allergy instructions
- Willingness to learn

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
