HOWARD & Co. Fine Catering is preparing for the expansion and launch of its second location.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support the cooking staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth operation in our kitchen and providing excellent service to our guests.

Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Support cooks by providing necessary ingredients and tools during meal preparation.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all food products.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages to kitchen management.




- Participate in maintaining a positive team environment by communicating effectively with kitchen staff.

Skills

- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices within a kitchen environment.
- Certification of Food Safe Level One
- Experience or familiarity with food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service setting.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Team player mentality with the ability to assist cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is a plus but not required.
