Duties

- Clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure availability for food preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by organizing supplies and restocking stations
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed




- Follow food handling protocols to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination
- Support overall restaurant operations by helping with light serving duties when needed

Skills

- Robust knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in a food service environment
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, including food handling and safety practices
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and bending frequently
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in a rapid-paced setting
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and efficiently
