Duties

- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors to prepare meals efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures at all times
- Serve food promptly and courteously to customers or dining areas, ensuring presentation meets quality expectations
- Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels




- Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe working setting for everyone in the kitchen

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending comfortably

- Basic familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles is a plus
