Apex EHS Services Inc. is currently recruiting for the position of a Laboratory Technician. This is an entry level position and is based out of Kelowna, BC.

The successful candidate will

-Assist current staff with analytical procedures;

-Prepare asbestos bulk sample for analysis using polarized light microscopy;

-Conduct asbestos air sample analysis using phase contract microscopy;

-Prepare samples for lead paint analysis by flame atomic absorption spectrometry;

-Assist in mould analysis by optical microscopy; and

-Prepare computer generated reports & drawings detailing investigation findings and recommendations.

The Qualifications we are looking for in this candidate are as follows:

-0-2 years of laboratory experience outside of a university setting.





-A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university.

-Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment.

-Must be able to lift 25 kg.

-Applicants must possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills.

-An intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
