Job Summary

Primis Contracting Inc. is seeking hardworking, dependable, and safety-focused Laborers to join our growing construction team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and industrial construction projects, including concrete tilt-up/precast buildings, shell structures, formwork, and site development projects throughout the greater Edmonton and surrounding area.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, motivated, and eager to contribute to a qualified construction environment. Working alongside experienced supervisors, tradespeople, and project teams, you will play a key role in supporting daily site operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

- Assist with site preparation, setup, and cleanup on commercial and industrial construction projects
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Support concrete, formwork, and tilt-up construction activities as directed
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks and project requirements
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Perform excavation, grading, material handling, and general labor duties
- Install and remove temporary structures, barricades, and safety equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow project plans, site instructions, and safety procedures
- Participate in daily safety meetings and site inspections
- Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, or concerns to supervisors
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, subcontractors, and project teams
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Site Superintendent, Project Manager, or Construction Manager

Qualifications & Requirements

- 1-3 years of construction experience preferred, particularly in commercial, industrial, concrete,



or civil construction environments
- Experience with concrete work, formwork, tilt-up construction, or general site labor is considered an asset
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials
- Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and safe work practices
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team environment
- Understanding of workplace safety requirements and safe construction practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Protection, and/or Elevated Work Platform certifications are considered assets

Additional Details

- Must be available Monday to Saturday
- Overtime may be required based on project schedules
- Travel may be required to multiple project sites throughout the Edmonton area

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
