Benjamin Landscaping and Projects is a landscape construction and design-build company specializing in residential and commercial landscape construction, hardscape construction, and custom landscape design throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

We design and build complete outdoor spaces, combining custom landscape design, interlocking pavers, retaining walls, masonry, excavation, drainage, artificial turf, custom decks, carpentry, and outdoor structures into cohesive landscape projects.

Our projects range from complete backyard renovations and custom outdoor living spaces to paver driveways, patios, retaining walls, artificial turf installations, custom decks, and detailed landscape construction.

A major advantage of our company is our ability to perform much of the construction work in-house rather than relying heavily on subcontractors. Our crews include skilled landscape construction workers, interlocking paver installers, masons, carpenters, and equipment operators. This allows us to maintain greater control over quality, scheduling, workmanship, and project execution.

What You'll Work On The Landscape Construction Foreman will lead crews on a variety of residential and commercial landscape construction projects.

- Excavation and grading
- Drainage installation
- Artificial turf preparation and installation
- Custom decks and carpentry
- Landscape stairs and access structures
- Demolition and site preparation
- Complete landscape renovations
- Custom outdoor living areas

The position involves working on construction sites where projects may require heavy excavation and equipment operation in tight or confined residential spaces. Experience working around existing homes, structures, utilities, landscaping, and restricted-access sites is highly valuable.

Duties

- Lead and coordinate landscape construction crews on active job sites
- Organize daily construction activities, materials, equipment, and workflow
- Read and interpret landscape plans and construction drawings
- Coordinate excavation, grading, base preparation, drainage, and hardscape installation
- Oversee installation of interlocking pavers, retaining walls, masonry, artificial turf, decks, and other landscape construction elements
- Perform quality-control inspections throughout each project
- Operate and coordinate construction equipment and tools
- Maintain organized and safe construction sites
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and other project stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and help maintain construction schedules
- Provide direction and training to crew members
- Troubleshoot construction challenges and develop practical solutions on site

Qualifications
- Experience in landscape construction, hardscape construction, masonry, carpentry, excavation,



or a related construction trade
- Experience installing interlocking pavers and retaining walls is an asset
- Carpentry or custom deck-building experience is an asset
- Masonry and stonework experience is an asset
- Experience operating compact excavators, track loaders, dumpers, or other construction equipment is an asset
- Ability to work effectively on restricted-access residential construction sites
- Ability to lead and coordinate a construction crew
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and job-site practices
- Ability to read plans and accurately interpret project requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor construction work

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
