As a Senior Electrical Engineer – Arctic Building Projects , you will play a pivotal role in advancing large‑scale defence, institutional, industrial, and remote infrastructure projects across Canada's North. You will support major pursuit teams for multiple defence‑sector RFPs—helping secure, shape, and deliver the next generation of national infrastructure. This role blends technical excellence, leadership, expertise in alternative delivery (P3/DB), and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams toward innovative, constructible, compliant solutions.
This position can be based out of any WSP office in Canada. Lead or contribute to electrical designs for large, complex, multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects , including P3 and design‑build delivery. Serve as a Key Individual on defence and infrastructure pursuits, supporting experience narratives, compliance documentation, and technical bid inputs.
Deliver advanced engineering solutions for building electrical and electronic systems, including: Fire detection and voice alarm systems Public address and telecom/security infrastructure Lighting and lighting controls External underground electrical services Provide strategic technical leadership across pursuit and delivery teams on major national programs. Support engineering for Arctic and remote environments , applying design strategies for climate, logistics, constructability, and reliability challenges. Conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client/sector‑specific requirements—particularly defence‑related specifications.
Demonstrated success delivering major, complex infrastructure projects (defence, transportation, industrial, institutional, or utility‑scale). Proven experience in P3, Design‑Build, and alternative delivery —with strong understanding of their technical and commercial requirements. Ability to meet eligibility criteria for security clearance required for defence programs.
Advanced expertise in large‑scale electrical systems design and integration. Previous experience supporting projects in the Arctic is necessary NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $114,900 - $154,800 The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority,
geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
