Highland Haulers Inc. is looking for a reliable, hardworking Lead Mover + Driver to join our growing moving and junk removal team. Your proactive attitude and physical stamina will ensure smooth operations, supporting our team in delivering exceptional service.

You don't need years of professional moving experience. If you've worked physical jobs, played sports, worked in construction, landscaping, warehouses, deliveries or regularly do physically demanding activities, we'd like to hear from you.

This is a casual/on-call position.

What You'll Do

As a Lead Mover, you'll help make sure each job is completed safely, professionally, and efficiently.

- Lead and work alongside other movers on residential moving, delivery and junk removal jobs
- Drive company vehicles and rental moving trucks as required
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site
- Inspect furniture, belongings and property before starting work
- Plan and organize efficient truck loading and unloading
- Properly wrap, protect and secure furniture and customer belongings
- Help move furniture, boxes and other household items
- Track job start and completion times
- Assist with customer sign-off and payment collection when required
- Immediately report damages, incidents or customer concerns
- Keep trucks, equipment and work areas organized
- Represent Highland Haulers professionally at every job

What We're Looking For

- Valid Class 5 BC driver's license required
- Driver's abstract required
- Comfortable driving company vehicles and rental moving trucks
- Previous moving experience is an asset,



but not necessarily required
- Experience with physical jobs, sports, construction, warehouse work or other activities that demonstrate physical ability and a strong work ethic is welcomed
- Physically capable of performing typical residential moving duties, including lifting and carrying furniture and boxes, working on stairs and completing physically demanding jobs
- Reliable, punctual and able to lead by example
- Robust communication and customer-service skills
- Able to work independently and make good decisions on-site
- Careful and respectful when handling customers' belongings and property

A driver's license is not required for this position. But it's definitely a plus.

Employment Requirements

- Casual / On-Call — hours vary according to bookings
- Availability may include weekdays, weekends, mornings and evenings
- Employees provide their availability and may accept or decline offered jobs
- Satisfactory driver's abstract
- References required
- Criminal record check may be required as a condition of employment
- 3-month probationary period
- Steel-toe footwear recommended
