Our client is on the hunt for a Controls Engineer in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Their Grande Prairie Controls Engineer will support and improve the critical control systems that keep a large industrial operation running safely and reliably.

Controls Engineer responsibilities:

- Support, maintain and improve control systems and automated technologies throughout the facility
- Troubleshoot control system issues and work with operations and maintenance to resolve problems
- Lead and support upgrades, replacements and improvements to existing control technologies
- Provide engineering support for plant projects, process improvements and system changes
- Review controls-related engineering documentation, specifications and technical requirements
- Help plan the lifecycle, reliability and future needs of critical control systems
- Work closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, leadership and external technical partners .





The successful candidate has:

- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or registered as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with relevant controls experience
- Experience working with control systems in an industrial, manufacturing or process environment
- Exposure to industrial automation, control technologies and related plant systems
- Strong project coordination or project management skills
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Engineer-in-Training candidates with relevant controls experience may also be considered

Compensation and benefits:

- Salary range from $135 000pa to $150 000pa
