Duties

- Greet patients warmly and assess their optical needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Measure and verify prescriptions accurately using specialized tools and techniques
- Assist patients in selecting frames that suit their style, face shape, and lifestyle preferences
- Conduct laboratory procedures such as lens edging, mounting, and quality checks to ensure optimal fit and clarity
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care, lens options, and maintenance to promote long-term satisfaction
- Process sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent retail sales support
- Maintain detailed records of patient prescriptions, lab work,



and sales using electronic health record systems like Epic
- Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Optician with current certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and optical services
- Hands-on laboratory experience with lens fabrication, edging, and mounting techniques
- Proven optical experience in a retail or clinical setting with a focus on customer service
- Familiarity with retail sales strategies and sales techniques to meet or exceed targets
- Experience using electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and scheduling
- Background in retail management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required
