Lift Host

Hours Per Week: 30 to 40 (Guest visit and weather dependent)

We’re currently hiring multiple Lift Hosts with staggered start dates leading up to the winter: September 14th, October 5th, & Novemeber 30th 2026.
As a Lift Host, you are often the first point of contact for our guests—making this role essential to creating an outstanding experience from the moment they arrive. Your day includes welcoming guests, answering questions about activities and programming, scanning tickets, and ensuring everyone boards the gondola safely and smoothly.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet each and every guest in a friendly manner, making eye contact and engaging in conversation whenever possible.
- Strive to assist the guest before the guest asks and provide physical assistance when required.
- Adhere to all operational and safety procedures, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the lift.
- Scan guest tickets accurately.
- Keep all areas tidy, uncluttered, and litter free.
- Prepare and complete required documents.
- Continually remain aware of the mechanical lift and the guests.
- Responsible for maintaining all operational aspects of the lift including ramps, mazes, tools and signs
- Supports organisational sustainability goals by incorporating environmentally responsible practices into daily work and minimising environmental impact.
- Identifies opportunities within their role to reduce waste, conserve resources, and enhance sustainable operations.
- Utilises Microsoft 365 tools (including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other authorised systems) and approved AI technologies to support collaboration, communication, and work efficiency.
- Applies critical thinking and professional judgement to all AI-assisted work; outputs are reviewed, validated, and not relied upon as the sole basis for decisions.
- Adheres to company policies, data privacy requirements, and security standards when using digital tools and AI.
- Remains fully accountable for the accuracy, appropriateness, and security of all work outputs.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Other duties as requried, including working in the Tube Park and Parking Lot.
Tube Park Duties (when scheduled – winter)
- Manage guest flow, validate tickets and explain/enforce safety rules
- Assist guests with how to use the tubes, and push down single riders or groups
- Monitor conditions, perform test runs, mitigate risk factors and communicate with the team for additional support
- Assist with daily setup and takedown of the Tube Park, including heavy lifting and extensive walking
Parking Lot Duties (when scheduled – summer and winter)
- Direct vehicles to appropriate parking spaces based on vehicle type and lot availability
- Communicate with team members via radio to manage traffic flow
- Provide clear directions and assistance to guests upon arrival and departure
- Spot-check vehicles for valid paid parking and required permits for pass holders
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a front line, guest facing position
- Excellent employee and public relations skills
- Energetic, dependable, and self-motivated
- Able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment, while remaining calm under pressure
- Capable of performing physical/manual duties whilst outdoors in all weather conditions.
- First Aid Training and BC Driver’s License is an asset
- Work independently and proactively; identify and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Weekend, holiday and evening availability
