Wheely is contracted by the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) to provide light service work to AMA members across Alberta, including roadside assistance such as battery boosts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery.
Position Summary
We're looking for a reliable Light Service Technician to respond to AMA member service calls and provide fast, friendly, and professional roadside assistance in the field.
Key Responsibilities
● Respond promptly to dispatched AMA service calls
● Perform battery boosts, tire changes, lockout assistance, and fuel delivery
● Provide courteous, professional service to AMA members
● Maintain accurate service records and complete job documentation
● Keep service vehicle and equipment clean, stocked, and in good working order
● Follow all safety procedures and traffic regulations
Qualifications
● Valid Alberta driver's license with a clean driving record (Mandatory)
● Previous roadside assistance, automotive, or related mechanical experience an asset
● Strong customer service and communication skills
● Able to work independently and handle physical tasks (lifting, kneeling, working outdoors)
● Must be adaptable with working hours, including evenings/nights, weekends, and on-call shifts
Work Environment
● Field-based role using a company service vehicle
● Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
● Dispatch-driven schedule requiring flexible availability
