Hilton Garden Inn Niagara-on-the-Lake is looking for an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team for our evening/night shift.

Regular shift hours are approximately 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, making this a great opportunity for someone looking specifically for an afternoon/evening schedule.

The Role As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food during service while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards
- Execute service efficiently and consistently
- Maintain proper portion sizes and presentation
- Read and manage orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station
- Complete required prep for service
- Keep your workstation clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Check dishes for quality and presentation before they leave the kitchen
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team
- Assist other stations and team members when needed
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude during busy service
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience
- Restaurant, hotel, or high-volume kitchen experience preferred
- Strong cooking and food-preparation skills
- Previous line cook experience preferred
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Able to remain calm and organized during busy service
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Good English communication skills
- Available to work approximately 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Availability for weekends and holidays
- Food Handler Certification required
