Liquor Store Attendant – GMC Liquor, Cold Lake

GMC Liquor in Cold Lake is looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Liquor Store Attendants to join our team.

Students, local residents, members of Cold Lake First Nations, Indigenous applicants, newcomers, and applicants with valid open work permits are welcome and encouraged to apply. Flexible scheduling may be available for students.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately.
- Verify customer identification and follow all Alberta liquor laws and store policies.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming products.
- Maintain clean and organized shelves, coolers, checkout areas, and storage areas.
- Assist customers in locating products and provide basic product information.
- Monitor inventory and notify management when products are running low.
- Ensure products and displays are properly priced and presented.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Help maintain a secure and secure environment for customers and employees.
- Follow store procedures regarding theft prevention and responsible liquor sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.





Qualifications
- Must meet the legal age requirements to work in a liquor store in Alberta.
- ProServe certification is required or must be obtained as required for the position.
- Previous retail, liquor store, or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Comfortable handling cash and using a point-of-sale system.
- Able to communicate effectively in English.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Able to lift and move cases of beverages and other merchandise.
- Must be available for a variety of shifts, which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
