Shape student literacy as a Literacy Coach in the Nicola-Similkameen School District. This part time Learning Enhancement Teacher role emphasizes the use of Fountas and Pinnell intervention kits across K-12 schools. Temp position for 0.40 FTE from September 8, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Work alongside classroom teachers and administrators to support diverse learning needs. Duties include planning instruction, co-teaching, and modeling best practices in classroom management and student assessment. Key Responsibilities:

- Guide teachers in implementing literacy interventions
- Collaborate in instructional planning and co-teaching
- Model effective classroom and assessment strategies
- Support IEP goal implementation for students
- Provide reports and updates on student learning Requirements:
- Experience in literacy development for all grade levels
- Familiarity with Fountas and Pinnell intervention kits
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate mandatory
- Understanding of BC Curriculum required
- Must hold a teaching category of five or higher Create meaningful change in student literacy through this collaborative teaching role.
