Provide critical support to sexualized assault survivors as a Support Worker from August 31, 2026, to March 31, 2027, working 14 hours a week in a collaborative environment.
The Sexualized Assault Support Services Worker role necessitates a compassionate approach towards individuals recovering from trauma. You will engage with local agencies, respond to crises, and assist clients with safety planning. Your expertise in trauma-informed practices will be vital as you guide clients through complex challenges related to their journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with local agencies for client support
• Conduct crisis responses within 72 hours of incidents
• Provide transportation and assist with safety planning
• Inform clients about reporting options available
• Advocate for clients navigating the justice system
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience supporting sexualized assault survivors
• Trauma-informed practice training
• Cultural sensitivity training
• Robust interpersonal and communication skills
Support survivors through advocacy, guidance, and effective communication in this essential community role.
