Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader and other Heavy Equipment.
The duties of the Loader Technician include but are not limited to:
- Take direction from yard manager and loader foreman.
- Load/Unload material as directed; operating loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Understand and follow directions from Loader Foreman, collaborating with all staff to ensure best use of space in yard, paint shop, and blast areas and priorities of work to be completed.
- Place work material on beams, cows, horses, or platforms as required, ensuring space required between materials is met.
- Supply various work areas with the materials required to complete work, such as abrasive, crates, pallets, etc.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader and other equipment.
- Communicate with quality control, foreman, shipping and receiving, and other employees to inform completed work, touch ups,
emptying and refilling of shops, and other issues as they arise.
- Complete and distribute administrative paperwork as required.
- Maintain yard as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Valid driver’s license.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in operating heavy duty equipment.
- Knowledge of loader and other heavy duty equipment.
- Combination of education and/or experience.

Pay: $33.00-$36.00 per hour
