Join the Park Opportunity Garden

At Park, we believe a world-class landscape starts from the ground up—and that includes our team. We provide a fertile space where you can plant your ambitions and watch them bloom. Our culture is built on a simple philosophy: When we invest in you, you invest in us.

The "Opportunity Garden" Framework

- NURTURE: A supportive environment built on safety, integrity, and trust. We provide the tools you need to succeed without the burnout.
- GROW: We don’t leave your career to chance. If you have the ambition, we provide the ladder through dedicated training and career tracking.
- THRIVE: This is where your "Can-Do" attitude meets empowerment. We trust our experts and give you the autonomy to tackle challenges head-on.

The Role: [Insert Job Title Here]

We provide the environment; you provide the expertise. In this role, you will be the primary architect of safe, seamless landscape supply yard operations, material loading, aggregate handling, and year-round seasonal site management.

Your Daily Impact

- Wheel Loader Operations & Material Handling: Safely operate heavy wheel loaders and attachments to load bulk supplies (topsoil, mulch, gravel, sand, rock) into customer, commercial, and company trucks/trailers with speed and accuracy, maintaining clean and organized stockpiles.
- Equipment Maintenance & Alberta OHS Compliance: Perform mandatory daily inspections (Part 19 PME standards), execute routine preventative maintenance (greasing, fluid checks, filter cleaning), conduct FLHAs, and strictly adhere to Safe Work Practices to ensure zero-incident operations.
- Seasonal Transition (Winter Snow & Ice Management): Transition seamlessly from November through April to operate wheel loaders equipped with snow buckets, blades, or pushers for commercial/residential snow clearing, windrowing, and site management during peak weather events.
- Yard Logistics & Communication:

Collaborate closely with the Division Manager, yard staff, and drivers while using digital applications (SiteDocs, Aspire, Asset Tiger) for accurate timekeeping, DVIR logging, safety reporting, and inventory tracking.

The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)

To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, specifically Part 19 (Powered Mobile Equipment) standards; strong understanding of equipment maintenance protocols, material weights, and safe loader positioning.
- Skills: Minimum two (2) years of dedicated experience operating wheel loaders in a supply yard, aggregate facility, landscape supply, or construction environment; loading tandem trucks/trailers; operating various attachments (buckets, snow pushers, forks); performing routine preventative maintenance; and using mobile apps (SiteDocs, Aspire) for DVIRs and safety logs.
- Abilities: Physical ability to perform outdoor work in varying Alberta weather conditions (extreme heat, mud, sub-zero snow events); lift up to 50 lbs and frequently mount/dismount cabs; maintain flexible availability for on-call, overnight, early morning, and weekend shifts during winter operations; valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.

Compensation & Total Rewards

Your total rewards package is designed to support your financial well-being and daily success:

- Competitive Hourly Wage: Pay rates aligned directly with your experience level.

- Predictable Paychecks:

Banked busy-season hours top up your earnings during rain delays and winter shifts to keep your pay consistent year-round.

- Tailored Skill Development: Access custom, role-specific training programs designed to support your continuous growth opportunities and on-the-job success.

- Exclusive Employee Perks: Free access to Venngo WorkPerks for discounts on electronics, travel, retail, dining, and wellness.

- Health & Dental Benefits: Comprehensive group benefit coverage for you and your family.

- RRSP Matching Program: Company-matched contributions to help build your long-term financial security.

- Performance Incentives: Eligibility for performance-based bonuses tied to company and individual success.

- Tools for Success: Modern gear, well-maintained specialized machinery, and premium resources provided so you can work safely and efficiently.
