Become a Respite Support Worker with Lumenus Community Services in the Urgent Response Services team. Play a key role in supporting children and youth facing urgent needs. This fixed-term, full-time role focuses on helping children and youth with autism manage significant challenges.

You will use evidence-informed interventions to promote positive outcomes and engage clients in various recreational activities. Establish strong relationships, assess individual needs, and participate in daily program planning. Key Responsibilities:

- Implement therapeutic interventions based on program goals
- Create a warm, accepting workplace for clients
- Observe and assess client skills and needs daily
- Facilitate engaging recreational activities for clients
- Utilize crisis prevention strategies for behavior management

Requirements:

- Diploma in ECE, CYC, SSW, DSW, or similar experience
- Familiarity with Applied Behaviour Analysis
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors
- Knowledge of ASD and social services in the GTA
- Availability for evenings and weekends
