Your Mission:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Technician (Millwright) to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing mechanical plant equipment to ensure optimal reliability, functionality, and operational efficiency.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical equipment breakdowns, including emergency repairs while implementing safe temporary solutions that comply with applicable codes and standards
- Troubleshooting mechanical systems and actively participating in problem-solving activities to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Conducting inspections of wet anaerobic digestion and waste pretreatment process equipment, as well as building infrastructure, as part of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Collecting oil and lubricant samples and providing field-level feedback, investigations, documentation, and updates on mechanical systems
- Executing preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance work orders while ensuring compliance with established maintenance procedures and protocols
- Identifying and documenting equipment issues during routine inspections and creating work requests as needed
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, spare parts inventory, and assets using the company's CMMS (Asset Essentials)
- Managing inventory activities, including the retrieval, return, and replenishment of parts, tools, and equipment
- Following established maintenance workflows from work request creation through to work order completion and closeout
- Working safely and effectively with waste processing equipment and plant systems
- Supporting plant upgrades, equipment installations, and capital projects, including mechanical lockouts, isolations, and facility connections
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and internal safety procedures during maintenance activities
- Providing technical support and guidance to contractors and internal teams as required
- Collaborating closely with site leadership and operations teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities
- Participating as an active member of the Health and Safety Committee
- Assisting with maintaining and auditing site material inventories while identifying critical stock shortages
- Contributing to the success of the organization by supporting additional technical and administrative initiatives as required
- Participating in after-hours on-call rotations and supporting planned maintenance shutdowns when necessary

- Hold an Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright Trade Certification
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Bring a minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience
- Have hands-on experience working with actuated valves, louvers with position feedback, conveyor systems, and AC motors
- Have experience supporting industrial process operations
- Possess experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs, corrective maintenance, temporary solutions, and verification of engineering details
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have experience using a CMMS, which would be considered an asset
- Have knowledge of current national codes, standards, and industry requirements
- Have experience calibrating and zeroing gas detection equipment, which would be considered an asset
- Possess knowledge of fire alarm and fire suppression systems, which would be considered an asset
- Have experience using SCADA systems for maintenance activities, simulations, and shutdown isolations, which would be considered an asset
- Have experience working with equipment such as shredders, conveyor systems, pumps, fans, hydraulic systems, gas compressors, air compressors, electric motors, front-end loaders, and small engines, which would be considered an asset
- Have experience performing mechanical alignments, including laser alignment techniques and equipment, which would be considered an asset
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities within mechanical systems
- Are capable of supporting maintenance teams during electrical tasks when required
- Have a solid safety background, including experience with lockout/tagout procedures, working at heights, hazardous environments, and mobile equipment operation
- Can read and interpret P&IDs;, mechanical schematics, and architectural drawings, and confidently install and maintain mechanical equipment
- Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Communicate effectively and collaborate well with maintenance, operations, and leadership teams
- Are proactive, self-motivated, quality-focused,



and committed to continuous learning and improvement
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Are physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, wearing a respirator, and safely climbing fixed ladders and spiral staircases
- Are available to work outside scheduled hours when required, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation

About the salary range: A reasonable estimate of the pay rate is 40.70/hour CAD at the time of this posting.
