Overview

Waterfalls Lodge, located on Waterfalls Rd in Spanish, ON, is looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our seasonal team.

Responsibilities

Docks, Boardwalks & Waterfront

- Inspect, repair, and maintain docks, boardwalks, and other waterfront structures
- Replace damaged or worn boards and hardware as needed
- Ensure waterfront structures are secure and secure for guest use

Waterline & Water Filtration
- Maintain and repair the lodge's waterline and water supply systems
- Maintain and service the water filter system, including filter changes and troubleshooting
- Monitor water systems and respond promptly to prevent service disruptions

Plumbing & Cabin Repairs
- Perform plumbing repairs in buildings and cabins, including leaks, fixtures, and drainage
- Carry out general repairs in guest cabins as needed

Vehicles & Equipment
- Operate and perform routine maintenance/minor repairs on lodge vehicles, tractor, mule, and ATV
- Assist with upkeep and basic repair of boats and boat motors
- Operate boats as needed
- Fuel vehicles, boats, and equipment as required, following proper safety procedures
- Report vehicle or equipment issues that need outside servicing

Buildings & Cabins
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on all lodge buildings and guest cabins




- Complete routine inspections to catch issues early
- Carry out minor carpentry, electrical, and structural repairs
- Support seasonal opening/closing tasks for buildings and cabins

Guest Service
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest maintenance requests
- Communicate status/completion of guest-reported issues to the Resort Manager
- Maintain a professional, helpful demeanor with guests on property

Qualifications

- Prior experience in general maintenance, plumbing, or facilities work preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle and small engine maintenance
- Comfortable operating tractor, mule/ATV, and boats
- Valid driver's license required
- Comfortable working outdoors and around water
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently
- Good communication skills

Working Conditions

- Seasonal, live-in position with variable hours based on operational needs
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
- Physical demands include lifting, climbing, and working around water and machinery
- May require on-call availability for urgent maintenance issues

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
