Manager, Customer Segments (Events & Partnerships)

Work Model: In office Tuesdays, Thursdays, and alternate Fridays
Pay Rate
- T4 - $38.85
- INC - $44.10
What You'll Be Doing
- Build strategic partnerships with post-secondary institutions, student associations, international student offices, and organizations within the newcomer ecosystem.
- Develop and execute segment strategies across campus, community, and digital channels to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Lead sponsorships and activations , including co-branded initiatives, community events, and experiences that create meaningful connections with priority customer segments.
- Identify and evaluate new partnership and growth opportunities across emerging channels, communities, and networks.
- Use market intelligence, competitive insights, and performance data to optimize segment strategies and partnership investments .
- Develop compelling business cases, partnership proposals, and executive recommendations to support strategic decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Branch teams to deliver integrated and compliant customer experiences.
- Manage the operational side of partnerships, including onboarding, contracts, budgets, payments, and expense tracking .
- Develop targeted marketing initiatives and deliver stakeholder presentations that communicate strategy, opportunities, and results through compelling storytelling.
- Build strong relationships with senior external partners and represent the organization within relevant youth, student, and newcomer communities .
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, partnerships, consulting, business development, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience building and managing external partnerships that contribute to measurable business or customer growth.
- Understanding of youth, student, and/or newcomer segments , including the distinct needs of domestic and international students.
- Experience working with post-secondary institutions, youth ecosystems, student organizations, or community organizations is an asset.
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- An analytical and commercially minded approach, with the ability to turn customer and market insights into actionable strategies .
- Robust business writing and presentation skills, with the ability to develop business cases and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A risk-aware mindset and ability to apply sound judgment when making business decisions.
- Experience within banking, financial services, marketing, customer growth, or another customer-focused environment is an asset.
