Park has an immediate opening for a Manager, Facility Scheduling and Administration, responsible for the strategic leadership and management of facility space allocation, scheduling, bookings, event planning and execution, administration, and front-of-house business operations.

Position Summary The Manager, Facility Scheduling and Administration is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of all facility space allocation and scheduling, client services, event planning, administration, execution, and administrative operations. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, this role maximizes facility utilization, revenue opportunities, client relationships, and customer experience. Working collaboratively with the Facility Operations Manager, this role leads front-of-house business operations and supports organizational objectives through strategic planning, business development, relationship management, operational collaboration, team development, and continuous improvement.

_ Essential Duties and Responsibilities_

- Provides strategic leadership for facility space allocation, scheduling, bookings, utilization optimization, and customer-facing operations.
- Leads the planning, administration, and execution of facility bookings and events, ensuring exceptional client service and operational excellence.
- Serves as the primary relationship manager and escalation point for major bookings, events, consortium partners, user groups, and key stakeholders.
- Identifies and pursues opportunities to increase facility utilization, revenue generation, client retention, and event growth.
- Provides clear and timely communication of booking, event, and operational requirements to ensure facility readiness and successful event execution.
- Meets and consults with clients, user groups, and event stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and administer bookings and events.
- Provides leadership, direction,



and support to the Facility Scheduling and Administration team, including recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development.
- Establishes departmental goals, service standards, key performance indicators, and operational priorities.
- Develops and enhances policies, procedures, and standard operating practices related to facility scheduling, event management, administration, and customer service.
- Works collaboratively with the Facility Operations Manager to align facility operations, staffing resources, and booking requirements.
- Participates in strategic planning, annual business planning, operational forecasting, and organizational goal setting.
- Identifies opportunities for facility enhancements, operational efficiencies, and customer experience improvements.
- Monitors booking activity, utilization trends, customer feedback, and revenue performance, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Oversees booking revenue and invoicing processes for accuracy to meet financial timelines for reporting.
- Employee recruitment, onboarding, and retention functions through staffing software in conjunction with Human Resources policies and processes.
- Presents the organization at industry, client, partner, and stakeholder meetings and events.
- Develops employees, operational processes, and service standards to support departmental and organizational strategic goals.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, facility operating procedures, contractual obligations, and applicable health and safety requirements.
- Assumes additional leadership responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Assistant General Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience





- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facility scheduling, venue operations, recreation management, event management, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
- Experience with facility booking and scheduling software.

Work Environment and Schedule

- Primarily based onsite at Canada Games Park and the Walker Sports and Abilities Centre.
- Flexible work schedule required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as necessary.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
