This part-time position offers 28 hours per week, starting in late August, where you’ll deliver workshops and programs designed for newcomers. Your engagement will significantly assist in navigating resources and connecting with other families, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement programs for various newcomer groups
• Lead weekly engagement and skill-building activities
• Organize community trips to enhance local connections
• Facilitate informal English learning opportunities
• Network with local organizations to bolster services
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in relevant social services field
• 2-3 years of experience with newcomers and families
• Solid understanding of community resources in Canada
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle is mandatory
