Our client is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital growth and recent construction projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from initial planning and approvals through construction and completion while ensuring timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder expectations are successfully met. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction project management experience, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Lead the planning, design, procurement, and construction of capital renewal and development projects
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and project stakeholders
- Oversee municipal approvals, permitting, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Monitor construction progress, project costs, quality standards, and contract performance
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Provide regular project updates, reporting,
and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
- Champion workplace safety and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices
- Support long-term capital planning, asset renewal initiatives, and funding-related activities
Your strengths include:
- 5+ years of experience managing construction, infrastructure, redevelopment, or capital projects
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, procurement practices, and contract administration
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
- Strong understanding of residential construction, building systems, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors, government agencies, and community stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk-management abilities
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and industry best practices
