The Marina Attendant supports the protected and efficient day-to-day operation of the Outer Harbour Marina by assisting boaters and guests, responding to inquiries, and providing service at the gas dock. The role is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming marina environment through routine cleaning and grounds-keeping, while following all Toronto Port Authority policies and health and safety requirements, including the use of required PPE.

This is a Union represented position belonging to CUPE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Cleaning and maintenance of washrooms and offices.

· Grounds-keeping including weeding flowerbeds, cutting lawns, picking up litter, emptying garbage and recycling containers.

· Fuelling of boats, pumping out holding tanks, and selling sundry items at the gas dock.

· Performing dock-walks to check vacancies of berths.

· Answering the telephone and in-person inquiries about the services provided by the Outer Harbour Marina.

· Providing a high-level of exceptional client service to our guests.

· Must comply with all Toronto Port Authority's policies and procedures including Health and Safety policies, SOPs, procedures, and legislated requirements.

· Must wear designated safety equipment/PPE as required.

· Any other duties that may be assigned by Toronto Port Authority.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

· Must be currently enrolled full-time in a Post-Secondary Institution.

· Possession of G2 or higher Driver's License, must have own transportation to work location. Note that work location is not accessible by public transportation.





· Possession of a Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification is an asset.

· Possession of CSA certified safety boots.

· Able to swim and tread water for 2 minutes is strongly recommended.

· Able to lift up to 25 Kgs (50 Lbs.) floor to waist.

· Fluency in English. Ability to communicate in French is a definite asset.

· Must be professional, neat in dress and appearance.

WORK LOCATION: 475 Unwin Avenue (foot of Leslie Street)

Must have own transportation. There is no access by public transportation to this location.
