Drake International is building something that most companies in our space haven't bothered to a rigorous, enterprise-wide picture of where our best growth actually comes from — and where we should stop guessing.
This is a new role. You'll own it from scratch.
The Mandate
We operate across countries, service lines, and industries. Permanent placement, contract staffing, flexible staffing, on-site services, training, certification & assessment — Drake runs multiple delivery models, and the question of where to focus isn't simple. An industry is never one thing.
Healthcare means nurses and HCAs and allied health professionals, not a monolith. Finance means certain functions, not all of them. The business chance lives at the intersection of industry and function — and that's precisely where this role works.
You'll build the analytical foundation that tells Drake which industries to bet on, which specific functions within them give us the right to win, and how our service lines map to each. That becomes the framework that feeds into how the CRO structures the sales teams, and where Marketing puts its weight.
What You'll Build
Over the 12 months, you'll deliver five things that will be your legacy:
- prioritized industry list - scored across market attractiveness, competitive landscape, strategic fit, and customer value, maintained as a living methodology, not a one-time exercise.
- validated enterprise ICP - defined at the industry × function level, grounded in revenue data, client lifetime value,
and cross-sell opportunity, with buy-in from Sales, Marketing, and Service Line leaders.
- vertical playbook - for each focus industry, a clear map of which functions we should own and which delivery models apply, so every team knows where to lead.
- client and revenue baseline - a comprehensive read of our current book across countries and service lines: where we're concentrated, where we're underexposed, and where the white space is.
- recommendations that stick - analysis that the CMO, CRO, and Service Line leaders actually use to make calls on go-to-market focus and investment.
Who you are You have 7–10 years in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategy — and you've spent meaningful time with messy, multi-country client and revenue data. You know how to segment beyond the industry level, down to the specific function or occupation within it, and you've worked with sales leadership before — not just handed them a report but been a real input into how they organize and sell.
You think in frameworks and then let go of them when the data says something different. You can walk into a room with the CMO and the CRO and present a recommendation, not a summary. You've managed people, or you're clearly ready to.
Most importantly: you don't wait for clarity. You create it.
