EXCITING THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT MOTHERLOVE

MotherLove Ferments is entering an exciting next stage of growth, and we're looking for a creative, hands-on marketer to help us build it.

We've been brewing kombucha and water kefir in Kelowna since 2015, growing MotherLove from an Okanagan favourite into a brand you'll find on shelves, in coolers and on menus across Western Canada.

And we're just getting started.

MotherLove is expanding into Eastern Canada, and we're also preparing to launch an entirely current beverage brand. We're keeping the details under wraps for now, but the person joining our team will play an important role in bringing it to market.

We're looking for someone who wants to join us at this next stage of growth and help shape how our brands show up in market. You'll help us introduce MotherLove to current consumers across Canada while also playing an important role in bringing a brand-new beverage concept to life.

THE ROLE

This is not a traditional corporate marketing job.

We're looking for someone who likes to create, build and execute. One day you might be photographing products or creating content for Instagram. The next you could be coordinating packaging artwork, updating Shopify, developing materials for our sales team or getting everything ready for a trade show.

You'll work closely with the President and have a hand in almost everything consumers see from our brands.

We want to bring more of our marketing and creative work in house, so we're looking for someone who is just as comfortable making things as they are planning them. Someone who can take an idea and turn it into something consumers actually see, experience and engage with.

You won't be doing everything alone. We have other team members who support social media posting, sampling and in-store demos. Your role is to develop the content, tools and programs that help make those efforts successful.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Brand & Content

- Create photo, video and design content across our brands
- Develop and manage the social content calendar and provide ready-to-use content to the team for posting
- Write copy for social, email, web and promotional materials
- Maintain a consistent look, voice and message across consumer touchpoints
- Build and organize our library of brand, photo and video assets
- Help our brands continue to evolve as we grow into new markets

New Brand Launch

- Coordinate launch timelines, assets and deliverables

- Coordinate packaging artwork revisions, printer proofs and packaging updates
- Create and update sell sheets, presentations, signage, trade show graphics and other marketing materials
- Produce creative assets in house using tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
- Coordinate photography and video, including creating content yourself where appropriate
- Work with outside designers, printers, photographers and other specialists when their expertise is needed

Events, Retail & Trade Shows
- Help plan sampling programs, retail activations, festivals and community events, with support from our team for execution
- Coordinate our participation in trade shows, including booth materials, logistics, shipping and marketing assets
- Develop the tools and materials our sales and demo teams need in market
- Coordinate branded merchandise and promotional materials
- Support our expansion into new retail markets across Canada

Planning & Execution
- Maintain the marketing calendar and keep projects and deadlines moving
- Coordinate suppliers and creative partners
- Help manage marketing and activation budgets
- Track what we do,

what it costs and what works
- Bring forward ideas and then help make them happen

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU

- Have 2+ years of marketing experience, ideally with a consumer brand, food or beverage company, winery, brewery or small agency
- Understand how to create compelling content for a consumer brand
- Can create strong content yourself, including photography, short-form video and basic design
- Are comfortable with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Have experience with Shopify, websites, email marketing or similar platforms
- Are comfortable using AI tools as part of your work
- Have strong writing and proofreading skills
- Are organized, self-directed and good at keeping multiple projects moving
- Can think about the bigger brand picture while still being willing to roll up your sleeves and execute
- Like working in an entrepreneurial environment where things move quickly and everyone wears a few hats

Experience with CPG, grocery or natural retail is a big plus, but not required.
