We are seeking a dynamic, highly creative, and strategic Marketing Manager to join our client's team for a high-impact, project-based opportunity. In this role, you will act as a catalyst for growth, identifying and delivering bold, high-impact initiatives that dramatically increase brand awareness, adoption, and sales momentum. You will bring breakout thinking and practical execution to a dynamic team, helping translate creative vision into measurable commercial results.
This is a 1-year contract position requiring talent to work on a hybrid schedule (onsite Wednesdays and Fridays at our client's downtown Toronto office).
Description
As a Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving groundbreaking projects and shaping commercialization strategies. This role is designed for a visionary who combines creative idea generation with data-driven strategy to build momentum and influence market presence.
You will spend a significant portion of your time actively researching, ideating, and pitching strategic concepts to key stakeholders. Working cross-functionally, you will synthesize complex ideas into actionable business cases, establishing clear success metrics while ensuring seamless execution from strategy to launch.
Responsibilities
- Ideation & Strategy: Identify unconventional, executable commercialization opportunities that accelerate growth and generate viral momentum or meaningful market differentiation.
- Stakeholder Sales & Alignment: Pitch ideas directly to key internal and external stakeholders, building strong business cases grounded in facts, data, and clear ROI/KPI frameworks.
- Sales Enablement: Develop high-impact tools, campaigns, and experiences that make it significantly easier for sales teams to win opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner seamlessly across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Creative teams to align on priorities, secure approvals, and drive initiatives forward.
- Execution & Optimization: Translate bold,
breakthrough ideas into reality, tracking and measuring campaign metrics to continuously iterate and optimize outcomes.
- Industry Integration: Leverage modern digital trends—including SEO and AI search practices—to refine content visibility and audience engagement.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in Marketing, Growth, Product Strategy, or Commercialization roles.
- Education: Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Arts, or a related field (Candidates with IT, Math, or Engineering degrees will not be considered).
- Idea Generation & Execution: Proven track record of white-space idea generation combined with the practical execution skills to bring creative concepts to market.
- Data-Backed Pitching: Demonstrated ability to translate creative concepts into solid, data-backed business cases that persuade and inspire decision-makers.
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Exceptional storytelling and presentation abilities, capable of articulating a clear vision and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Digital Savviness: Strong understanding of up-to-date marketing tools, including SEO, AI search capabilities, and digital trends.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience in retail payments or financial commercialization.
- Hands-on experience in business case development and formal ROI tracking.
