About The Role

What if the research skills you've spent years developing could directly shape the intelligence of tomorrow's most advanced AI systems? We're looking for Masters and PhD-level researchers to bring their deep domain expertise to the frontier of AI development — designing complex problems, stress-testing AI reasoning, and pushing the boundaries of what these models can do.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for serious researchers. Your academic rigor and subject-matter expertise will have a direct, measurable impact on the AI systems influencing science, technology, and society at scale.

- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for academic rigor, depth, logical consistency, and factual accuracy
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts across leading research labs
- Ensure the highest standards of clarity, precision, and intellectual depth across all deliverables

- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

- Holds a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a top-tier university
- Solid track record of research, publications, or complex technical project leadership
- Exceptional written communication skills — you can explain sophisticated ideas with precision and clarity
- Naturally rigorous and detail-oriented, with a systematic approach to problem-solving
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without close supervision
- Fluent in English

Nice to Have

- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
- Background spanning multiple technical disciplines or interdisciplinary research areas
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, benchmarking, or model evaluation

Why Join Us

- Work directly with cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading research labs
- Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
- Put your advanced expertise to use on problems that genuinely matter at a global scale
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
