Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for creating complex 3D models and detailed 2D production drawings or convert 2D drawings to 3D models using Autodesk Inventor. This flexible, work-from-home role is open to both Full-Time and/or Part time candidates who can work independently with minimal supervision.

· Experience Required: 5+ years of dedicated Autodesk Inventor experience

Key Responsibilities

· 3D Parametric Modeling: Develop precise 3D mechanical models of parts, large assemblies, and complex components utilizing Autodesk Inventor.

· 2D Production Drawings: Generate detailed, accurate 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings, including appropriate views, sections, and structural details.

· Bill of Materials (BOM): Create and manage structured Bills of Materials and component part lists for procurement and assembly teams.

· Design Optimization: Evaluate and modify existing designs to improve performance, reduce costs, or fix production bottlenecks.

· Remote Collaboration: Coordinate closely with cross-functional engineering and design teams via digital workflow platforms.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education:



Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Technology, or equivalent practical industry experience.

· Software Mastery: Minimum 5+ years of active, hands-on experience using Autodesk Inventor is an absolute must.

· Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of design limitations, machining, sheet metal fabrication, tolerances, and material properties.

· Remote Setup: A dependable home office environment equipped with a high-performance workstation capable of handling large Autodesk Inventor assemblies, alongside high-speed internet.

· Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a high level of organizational discipline, and the ability to hit strict deadlines autonomously.
