Support the learning experience as a Teaching Assistant for PLSC 214 at the University of Saskatchewan. This position involves preparation, demonstration, and student interaction both online and in the lab.
This role requires the applicant to possess a robust background in statistical analysis and agricultural research, ultimately aiding students’ understanding of plant sciences. The Teaching Assistant will report to Krista Wilde and will work four hours each week throughout the Fall 2026 session. Training is available to assist with responsibilities that include invigilating exams and consulting with students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and demonstrate key concepts for the course
• Facilitate student consultations and support their inquiries
• Invigilate examinations and ensure academic integrity
• Assist the supervisor with course-related duties
• Attend training sessions prepared by the department
Requirements:
• Enrollment in a graduate program is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of agricultural research and statistics
• Four hours of commitment weekly during the term
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
