L’Hôpital de Mattawa Hospital is located in the town of Mattawa, Ontario. Our 19-bed Hospital is a designated bilingual facility “Together, Guided by Medicine, Inspired by Faith, in a Place called Home” and is dedicated to the people of Mattawa, East Nipissing, and other residents of Ontario. We are sponsored by the Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario and licensed under the Ministry of Health, and accredited by Accreditation Canada.

The Mattawa Hospital is seeking a highly motivated permanent part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Minimal Education:

- Graduate from an Accredited Post Graduate Educational Institution.
- CMLTO Certification.
- CSMLT Certification (preferred).
- ART or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (preferred)

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Understand the principles and have the ability to perform analytical techniques on patient samples using established protocols.
- Self-starter who has the ability to work well with frequent interruptions while performing varying functions.
- Exemplary organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Effective interpersonal skills, communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Excellent attendance and work record required
- COVID-19 vaccination mandatory
- Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector required

Additional Skills and Functional/Technical Competencies





- Preferably bilingual (French/English)
- Demonstrate commitment to continuing education
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills while working independently and part of the lab team
- Familiarity with Lab Accreditation and IQMH
- Familiarity with Meditech Laboratory Information Systems

Shifts include day shifts and participation in the on-call rotation. As a team player, you will have a genuine interest in patient-centred care.
