This is a part time position. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to physician and patients, while fulfilling duties typical of medical reception which includes
- Greeting patients upon arrival ,booking confirming and re-scheduling appointments as necessary
- Making sure all phone calls, queries and concerns are answered and re-directed as necessary
- Complete patient registration, appointment bookings, re-bookings, cancellations and necessary
- Assist and prepare exam rooms, take patient vitals including height weight and blood pressure
- Communicating messages to patients and physicians
- Managing incoming and outgoing faxes and scans
- Work collaboratively within the team
- Restocking examination rooms and performing inventory
- Cleaning duties as needed
Requirements for position:
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
- Effective multi-tasking, time management and organization skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to providing focused patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills on the telephone and in person
- Strong computer and typing skills
- Works well independently and with others in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
Preferred skills
- MOA certification

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Education
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Medical office experience: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- MOA certification (preferred)
