The Broadway Subway Project Corporation (BSPC) is an Acciona-Ghella general partnership to deliver a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. Once complete, it will provide fast, frequent and convenient service to B.C.’s second largest jobs center, world-class health services, an emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities.

Reporting to the Systems Construction Manager, the MEP Coordinator is responsible for all in office Mechanical, Fire Protection and Electrical construction activities on a daily basis. This role will include both project management and on-site supervision duties. The successful candidate will ensure construction occurs safely, manage subcontractors to ensure on-time and on-budget completion, verify construction compliance with design requirements, and coordination with other groups on site.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

- Collaborate with the Station Construction team to manage subcontractor MEP budgets, schedules, and change orders.
- Interface with the design team by managing subcontractor RFIs and coordinating the shop drawing review and approval process.
- Take the lead on productivity issues and monitor subcontractor performance and efficiency to ensure project plans and schedules are met, and that the project is executed effectively, efficiently, and within budget.

Site Supervision

- Supervise subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.
- Perform inspections, track installed quantities, and verify that work is completed in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure project materials and workmanship meet established Quality Standards.




- Coordinate site activities with other disciplines and the Site Superintendent.

Experience/Qualifications:

- Four-year degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical training, education, and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive construction experience, with demonstrated experience in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
- Experience working on transit, rail, or other complex infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to evaluate trade contractor performance, identify deficiencies, and ensure work meets project requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, health and safety regulations, project scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Strong ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities, exercise sound judgment, and effectively interface and communicate with project teams, contractors, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish productive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, trades, consultants, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with project teams, contractors, consultants, engineers, trades, clients, and other stakeholders.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
