Hydro is seeking an Industrial Cleaner at the Holyrood station, providing a remote or hybrid work option. This role focuses on maintaining the plant's cleanliness while ensuring strict safety measures.
In this Industrial Cleaner position, you will execute a variety of cleaning tasks, including asbestos handling and operating necessary lift machinery. Your compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards is fundamental, as is your ability to navigate confined spaces. Demonstrating safety leadership is part of the role's responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out thorough cleaning of plant facilities
• Perform Type 1 asbestos removal per standards
• Safely operate lift equipment during tasks
• Work effectively in heights and narrow spaces
• Champion the plant's Safety and Health Program
Requirements:
• Completion of high school education required
• Background in asbestos abatement preferred
• Training in safety measures like fall protection is beneficial
• Experience with lift equipment is an asset
• Must have a current valid driver’s license
