We are currently looking for a

saw operator

to fill a permanent full-time position on the evening shift, Monday to Thursday.

The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN JOINING THE TEAM

Under the supervision of the Fabrication Supervisor, cut metal using a hydraulic saw according to mechanical drawings and instructions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Optimize cuts using plans indicating the shape, the dimensions, the lengths and the number of pieces to be cut





Verify that parts are available and determine those to be cut

Cut metal parts for assembly using hydraulic saw

Rigorously respect quality criteria, making the necessary verifications

Ensure the exactness of the cut according to the mechanical plans

Sand cut ends with various tools (band sander …)

Place cut parts in designated areas with crane or palette lift

Clean saws and work station, put away tools and instruments used

Inform Foreman of any problems that arise

Advise Foreman of any equipment maintenance

Unload delivery trucks with crane and store metal in designated areas

Is aware and careful of safety of self and others (health & safety)
