Martiann Holsteins is a fourth generation family-run dairy farm near Tilbury in Delta, BC. It has been in operation since 1974.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled farm hand to join our team. The ideal candidate cares deeply about animals, is passionate about local agriculture and sustainable farming practices; and will have a good understanding of working with large animals. This role is essential in ensuring the health and productivity of our livestock while maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency in the milking process.

This role requires a small amount of mechanical knowledge, the ability to operate farm milking equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of animal welfare and hygiene.

Responsibilities

- Perform milking duties using automated milking systems or manual techniques.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of milking equipment and facilities.
- Monitor the health and well-being of livestock during the milking process.




- Maintain accurate records related to milk production and livestock health.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required for farm operations, Eg: milk pails

Schedule: This is a part time job, 4 or so hours per day. The hours would be 4-8 am OR 8-11pm shift, with more hours offered on end of the first shift if desired. Every other weekend off.

Experience

- Previous experience in a farming or agricultural environment is preferred but not required.

Working Workplace At Martiann Holsteins, we are proud to provide a relaxed working atmosphere with a kind hearted working team. Although, some times the work is labour intensive, we also have coffee breaks and enjoy our time together.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
