Start your mining career as a Mine Engineer In Training with Highland Valley Copper in Logan Lake, BC. You'll engage in integrated production planning and drill and blast activities on-site. As a full-time Engineer In Training, you'll report to the Superintendent of Integrated Planning.
This role focuses on developing and optimizing short-range production plans while integrating operational and maintenance insights. You'll actively support both Drill & Blast Engineering and Short-Range Planning functions, collaborating with various teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize short-range production plans and schedules
- Assist with drill and blast design and sequencing processes
- Analyze operational and maintenance constraints for execution
- Monitor plan performance and reconcile against actual results
- Prepare planning packages and updates for stakeholders Requirements:
- Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- EIT or P.Eng. eligible or registered
- 3–5 years experience in open-pit mining or planning
- Strong analytical and communication skills
