Location: Red Lake, ON - Canada

Rotation: 14 days on 14 days off

Shift Length: 12 hours

Accommodation: Will be provided based on location - New Camp

Travel: Will be provided based on location - FIFO

Job Summary:

Miner – Service Miner and Development The primary role of Miner is to inspect existing underground headings, scale loose rocks and install ground support to stabilize rock mass and ensure safety. The tasks may involve the operation of scaling bars, pneumatic hand-held drills, use of rubber-tired underground mobile equipment such as LHD (Load-Haul-Dump) units, mechanized bolters, scissor trucks, shotcrete sprayers and other support vehicles in a confined environment. Load development rounds, install or fix existing mine services such as pipe, vent, cables and fans.

General:

- Identify unsafe conditions in underground headings - high level of alertness required.
- Scale back and walls as required to make the workplace safe.
- Drill holes using hand-held pneumatic drills or drill-boom mounted on bolter.
- Insert rock bolt following approved method of installation.
- Install other ground support components as required such as welded wire mesh and shotcrete.
- Install or fix existing mines services such as vent tubing and pipes using various lifting equipment such as scissor trucks, chain blocks and hand tools.
- Operate large mobile equipment such as 3.5 yard and 9 yard low profile front end loader (Scoop tram) and scissor lift (man lift), and/or 30 ton/40 ton/50 ton trucks;





2 years or more experience as an underground miner Salary Range: $118,000 - $168,000/annum, range is variable and dependent on overtime worked and production bonus paid

Truck Driver The primary role of the Truck Driver is to haul and dump broken ore and waste from development or production headings operating a 50 ton truck.

General:

- Refuels, check coolant and engine and hydraulic oils, lubricate all points and complete standard daily check forms and drive equipment to and from work area
- Visually inspect, sounds, scales and washes down work area, if required
- Operates and controls truck for loading, hauling and dumping
- Loads transports and unloads tools, equipment, mining supplies, explosives and blasting supplies, scrap, etc., if required

2 years or more experience as an underground truck driver Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000/annum, range is variable and dependent on overtime worked and production bonus paid

Offsider

Assist Jumbo Drill Operator with site prep and tool handling. Handle ore samples and drilling materials. Support installation of ground support and mine

- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
- Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites




- Assist miners in excavating and in setting up and operating various drills and other mining machinery
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

6 months in a mining setting or transferable skill preferred for the Offsider position Salary Range: $87,000 - $107,000/annum, range is variable and dependent on overtime worked production bonus paid and experience.
