Interaction & Multimedia Designer — 12-Month Contract | Hybrid, Downtown Toronto

My client, one of Canada's Big 5 banks, is hiring an Interaction & Multimedia Designer to join their digital banking team on a 12-month full-time contract with strong potential to extend.

This is a hybrid seat for someone who lives at the intersection of motion design and product: you'll create explainer and feature-launch videos, guided walkthroughs, motion graphics, and the micro-interactions and UI animations that ship inside the bank's web and mobile experiences. Your work directly drives how millions of customers and thousands of employees understand and adopt new digital products.

What you'll do

- Concept, script, storyboard, and produce explainer and promotional videos for digital banking features
- Design UI animations and micro-interactions that enhance usability across web and mobile
- Build motion graphics and multimedia assets to brand and accessibility standards
- Partner with Product Owners, Designers, Content Designers, and Marketing to turn complex features into transparent,



engaging visual stories
- Own multiple projects end-to-end, from concept through delivery

What we're looking for:
- 5+ years in motion design, multimedia design, interaction design, or video production for digital products
- A portfolio showing explainer/product video work AND UI animation — this hybrid is the role
- Strong command of After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma
- Experience with Lottie (LottieLab, Jitter, or Bodymovin workflows) is a major asset
- Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to simplify complex information
- Comfort managing stakeholders and timelines independently in a fast-paced environment

Details:
- 12-month contract, full-time hours, extension potential
- Hybrid — 3 days/week onsite in downtown Toronto
- $45–65/hr depending on overall experience: up to $55/hr on T4, up to $65/hr incorporated (corp-to-corp)
